Who we are

At Whole Self Counseling we empower clients to honor their whole self, heal at their own pace, and build lives rooted in authenticity, balance, and connection. We deliver evidence based, client-centered therapy that supports individuals in integrating all parts of themselves — feelings, experiences, and strengths — to achieve meaningful wellness.

Katie Crow, LCSW

I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as supporting parents of children with anxiety. I offer parent coaching to help caregivers better understand and respond to their child’s anxiety, particularly when a child may be resistant to therapy. My goal is to equip parents with practical tools to reduce anxiety at home, respond to anxious behaviors more effectively, and help children build confidence and resilience.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois with a master’s degree from Aurora University. My clinical experience in both an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and private practice has shaped my collaborative, strengths-based approach and deepened my understanding of the different levels of support individuals and families may need throughout their healing process.

I work with teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, grief and loss, family conflict, and behavioral concerns. I understand the pressures individuals and families face today and have a strong passion for parent education and family support, particularly helping parents feel more confident in supporting children struggling with anxiety.

My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of my clients while creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can learn practical strategies to use in their everyday lives.
